Thinking Is The Hard Part

We all do it, but sometimes we do it too much. We over think things. We turn simple things into something bigger as in something we won't accomplish.

When I organize an area, I end up doing a lot of sitting and staring. What if this doesn't work and I have no idea what to do with that mess over there. "That mess" just became too overwhelming and it could hinder my ability to get any organization done. The what-ifs, as I call the hindering thought process that stops us from trying things, are healthy as long as we keep going. It's important to question anything to make sure it aligns with you and your lifestyle, but to feel that the scenarios you thought of during a what-if session of your own ...I know people that think of the worst case scenarios and stop there... to feel they are definitely going to happen so you now protect from them occurring instead of trying and finding out if they do or don't happen is what breaks your focus.

I have noticed that every time something is new there is some discomfort.

It is hard sometimes not to feel narcissistic. We get ourselves in this kind of trouble, when we think too much, because we worry about what other people think/will think. If we can grow comfortable with our own decisions while knowing we will receive mixed reactions for every action we make then we can prepare to explain ourselves as some will request either in an accusing manner or in wonderment-maybe they want to know how to be that kind of person, and to just know that you did what you felt was right and reiterate that if you need to, you can handle the more negative reactions and learn how to not take them personally. It is okay to look into whether you did something wrong. From any other point of view you will find a mix of right and wrong. To keep yourself from feeling like you are better than anyone else, learn to welcome feedback on your actions, learn to appreciate how other people see you instead of worrying about the reaction, and include others in your quest to be the best person you can be.
